Ricky Christie is one of the leading independent experts in Scotch Whisky in the world. He was recognised by Keepers of The Quaich in the 1980’s for his contributions promoting Scotch Whiskies worldwide.
Ricky Christie gained first-hand experience with the top industry leaders from setting up & building distilleries to cask management, storage, and sales of the best & rarest Scotch Whiskies in the world. He discovered his passion for whisky at an early age, following in the footsteps of his father Mr George Christie, one of the most important figures in the Scotch Whisky industry at the time & an incredible inspiration to Ricky.

Michael joined the business in December 2022, continuing an impressive 32 year within the scotch whisky industry.
Having previously held senior positions at Burn Stewart Distillers and Houston Bottling & Co-Pack, Michael is highly regarded within the spirits industry and is an expert in bottling and warehousing operations. He is known for maintaining an uncompromising focus on high quality standards, health & safety, HMRC compliance and building the necessary infrastructures to ensure optimal cask storage conditions.

Andrew oversees all daily operational activities, from receipt of goods, through to distributing finished products to our clients. He has built a solid knowledge base within the whisky industry for over 7 years after graduating from university as a Chemical Engineer. Andrew started his whisky industry journey with a Glasgow based distillery before moving onto work as supervisor of a spirit supply team at a contract bottler whilst also being part of the team which successfully achieved BRC accreditation. Andrew started with North of Scotland Bonding Company Limited in June 2023.

Lorraine is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Customer Service Team ranging from account creation of new clients through to processing client requests via our customised package. Lorraine has 16 years of Customer Service experience, mainly focussed within the Health and Social Care Sector supporting relatives, as well as supporting staff members, in relation to any employment issues they may have faced. In that time, she gained an SVQ level 2 and 3 in Customer Service. Lorraine started with North of Scotland Bonding Company Limited in April 2023.

Ryan is responsible for the general running of our warehouse, from cask receipt, storage, regauging, re-racking, sampling, and spirit preparation for bottling. Ryan’s previous experience is working within a dry goods warehouse as a department leader for a number of years with him also being responsible for leading a small team involved in stock inventory, from delivery, through to storage in preparation to meet customer requests. Ryan started with North of Scotland Bonding Company Limited in August 2023.

Long is responsible for the day-to-day transactions in our client facing and internal systems, from account creation of new clients through to processing client requests. Long is also responsible for managing all enquiries ensuring they are connected with the relevant team member who can help move their enquiries forward. Originally from Hong Kong, Long brings 7 years of experience within the customer service and hospitality sector, having previously worked for the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Long started with North of Scotland Bonding Company Limited in July 2024.

David’s current role is wide-ranging and can involve regauging the casks on arrival and storing the casks; to stock taking and assisting with bottlings, ensuring all paperwork is completed throughout. David has predominantly worked in warehousing, having recently spent 7 years working for a spirits industry contract bottling company before joining the team in Rutherglen. David started with North of Scotland Bonding Company Limited in May 2023.
